I just want to take a second to say something to my bestest friend in the whole world.

You always know how to make me feel better when everything is sucky.
You always find a way to make me giggle.
You always make me feel loved and special.

I love that when we are together, I can just be me.
I don't have to hide.
I don't have to pretend.
I can be real.

When we're together I can be happy, or sad, or silly, or bitchy, or anything at all.
And it's always okay.

There are so few people in the world who really understand me.
So few who I let close enough to even have a chance to understand me.
So few who have seen the real me who choose to still stick around afterwards.

You give some of the best hugs in the world.

You are like the sun shining through the fog.
Whenever I am lost in that fog, all I ever have to do is look up at you to find my way home.

Thank you for being my best friend.
Thank you for loving me unconditionally.
Thank you for staying by my side through so very many difficult times.
Thank you for never letting go of me even when you had to be too far away to hug.
Thank you for always remembering my birthday.
