Will Blog 4 Food
So, I feel like I haven't blogged in like a squillion years. I'm seriously going through withdrawal.
This weekend was one of several birthday celebrations and was quite Rawky. It didn't start out entirely as I had thought, since I fell asleep before JAS even arrived. *sigh* If I wasn't officially old before, I definitely am now.
Had a lovely breakfast feast with JAS, Bella & her Boy and Les Tambeaux. Much Clone High was watched. Much fun was had. It seems like more than a squillion years since I've seen any of them. Got to listen to Sean play guitar... I tend to forget how nice it is to hear him play. I associate it with one of the few things that felt comforting about the last few years that I lived at home.
After a quick trip to Charles' work, it was off to IKEA for a quick shopping spree with my gallies. Then Charles took me to Vaughan for the weekend. Much fun was had at Dave & Busters, more IKEA and a fabulous jacuzzisweet suite. Let's just say that it's hard to have an unhappy birthday when you have two, yes TWO, buffets in the same day.
Oh yeah, and I discovered that I should seek professional help for my gambling addiction. Seriously. I came home from the "Winners' Circle" with a mini fridge and 2 bags of rediculously fun goodies a la stocking stuffer style.
Ooo - ooo. And we finally took the pioneering start on Loftsembourg. Hooray! Construction to start in the near future.
Ooo - ooo. And I got my results back from my last HgA1c... 5.7%! Hooray! ...um, that's a good thing for those of you who don't have any idea what I'm talking about. ...Hooray!
So, all in all, a pretty fabulous weekend. Other than a small worry fit about Alex, who had some rough times this weekend... and has since resolved the problem (I'd like to take some credit for that, but all the good advice came from Charles... I just worried for him... which was kinda helpful... Shut Up!)
